In 1972, a vibrant spirit ignited the opening of our co-op in Winona, marking the beginning of a unique community effort. Amidst a backdrop of limited resources and volunteer-driven operations, members rallied with enthusiasm, using a tackle box for cash and a pot-belly stove for warmth. As we evolved, transitioning from volunteers to paid staff, our commitment to sourcing local, healthy food remained steadfast. Today, as Bluff Country Co-op, we proudly uphold our legacy, serving over 2,000 owners with quality products and promoting sustainable agriculture.
