Details:
Join us for "Growing Sprouts: Nature-Based Early Literacy," a program series from Winona Public Library designed for children ages 3-6 and their caregivers. This engaging outdoor experience focuses on essential building blocks of early literacy—talk, write, read, and play—while utilizing the beauty of natural spaces. Programs will take place on June 18 at Lake Lodge on Lake Winona, where participants will engage in Water Exploration with educators from Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center, exploring macroinvertebrates, amphibians, and local wildlife. Subsequent sessions will be held on July 2 and 16 at Holzinger Lodge, featuring Happy Dancing Turtle and Project Get Outdoors, respectively. Dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy shoes, especially for activities on Holzinger Trail. Caregivers are required to supervise their children throughout the program. No pre-registration is necessary.
