Details:
Join us for "Growing Sprouts: Nature-Based Early Literacy," a series hosted by Winona Public Library designed for children ages 3-6 and their caregivers. This program will utilize natural spaces to foster early literacy skills such as talking, writing, reading, and playing. Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes, as activities will be held outdoors, including time on Holzinger Trail. Adults are required to stay with the children at all times, and no pre-registration is necessary.
The series includes the following events:
- June 18 at Lake Lodge on Lake Winona: "Water Exploration" with Eagle Bluff Environmental Learning Center, where educators will provide gear to explore for macroinvertebrates and other wildlife on the beach.
- July 2 at Holzinger Lodge: "Happy Dancing Turtle"
- July 16 at Holzinger Lodge: "Project Get Outdoors"
