Ages 10-17 join our Dungeon Master Chris Barton for one-off games of Dungeons & Dragons.
We will start a new D&D adventure at each meeting and complete it on the same day. Each person must register individually with a different email address.
All about the presenter, Chris Barton: I have been playing and running TableTop Role Playing Games since I was in 7th grade, and continued throughout my life. I have played and run many systems, including but not limited to Dungeons and Dragons, Kids on Bikes, Branch Riders, and Pugmire. In 2017, when at the Pax Unplugged convention, I found out that Educational and Therapeutic gaming was occurring. In 2018 and 2019, I was trained with The Bodhana Group in York, PA, in the Therapeutic Application of Tabletop Role-Playing and in Creative and Implementing Therapeutically Driven Content for Narrative Role-Playing Game, respectively. These skills blended well with my BA in Psychology and MS in Instructional Design, as well as my experience when I worked for Hope Enterprises with autistic and ID (intellectually disabled) individuals. I started to volunteer for the Bodhana group as a GM (Game Master) and have now been hired by them to run two games a week over Zoom. I have also worked as a Game Master for Hope Enterprises, Goodwill of NEPA, Autism Society of NEPA, and Bucknell. I continue to work with a variety of age groups and diverse individuals.
