Details:
The future is on the way, and some big decisions are incoming for today's young people! This hands-on future prep day camp is designed to help youth become Beyond Ready through engaging activities, teamwork, decision-making, budgeting, and practical life skills not always taught in the classroom. Participants will learn from both adults and older teens who will help lead sessions and share real experiences and advice. From stepping outside their comfort zone to preparing for the responsibilities of the future, this camp is all about building confidence and independence in a fun and supportive environment. Don’t be surprised if your teen comes home excited to show off something they never did before like change a tire or prepare a meal!
Registration for this event is handled through James City County Parks & Recreation. Participants can register online by creating an Xplor Recreation account at James City County Parks & Recreation. Registration may also be completed by mailing in a check, calling Parks & Recreation, or making a walk-in payment at the James City County Recreation Center, Abram Frink Jr. Community Center, Chickahominy Riverfront Park, or Freedom Park. Additional program details, registration instructions, and other upcoming events can be found in the Destination Recreation Parks & Recreation quarterly brochure.
