Details:
We are excited to have Stephanie Anne Johnson and their band at the farm for our very first show of the summer!
From their website: Pacific Northwest Americana songwriter and performer Stephanie Anne Johnson’s voice is like a prayer. It’s the kind of sound that makes you feel renewed, refreshed, and in love with the higher spirits of the planet. It’s a sound you can bask in, that can wash over you and regenerate the best of you all at once.
I think we could ALL use a bit of that as we come out of winter! Stephanie Anne Johnson has opened for acts that include political figure Bernie Sanders, and artists such as The Indigo Girls, Macy Gray, Mavis Staples, Taj Mahal, Robert Cray, The Blind Boys of Alabama, Steve Earle, Cedric Burnside, and Mason Jennings among many others
The Turkey Buzzards will be opening the show and they are one of my favorite bands. They moved back East, so it's a rare opportunity to catch them. From their site: "Much like the duo themselves, the songs range near and far, from the sticky humidity of the Carolinas to the arid and dusty cellars of the West, telling stories of simplistic beauty that unravel through gritty vocals and thoughtful harmonies. The bare authenticity of each song sweeps up the listener for a ride that might wander but will certainly not end in the same place where it began."
Dylan Nicholson (Greensboro, NC) and Eric Patterson (Lodi, CA) formed the The Turkey Buzzards in Morro Bay, CA and have shared stages with John R. Miller, Robert Earl Keen, Jeffery Martin, The Deslondes, Dawes, White Buffalo, Brothers Comatose, and frequently join Willy Tea Taylor as members of The Fellership.
FYI, ticket sales are changing a bit this year. We will have 3 tiers instead of 2, so get those tickets early! Ticket prices will increase 2 weeks before the show and again for day of, so grab 'em!
