Join the Seneca Regional Chamber & Development for a Lunch & Learn on Wednesday, August 28 at 12:00 PM at the North Central Ohio Educational Service Center in Tiffin. This session, hosted in partnership with Terra State Community College, will be led by Dr. Terry Farris, Executive Director of Workforce Education, and his team. They will introduce the Ohio TechCred program and explain how local employers can use it to strengthen their workforce. Ohio TechCred is a state training reimbursement program that helps Ohio businesses upskill employees through short-term, technology-focused credentials. Employers can be reimbursed up to $2,000 per credential, with a maximum of $30,000 per round and up to $180,000 per year. These credentials are designed to be completed in less than 12 months and align with in-demand skills needed in today’s economy. Dr. Farris and his team will walk employers through each step of the program, including identifying skill gaps, selecting eligible training providers, submitting an online application, enrolling employees, and uploading documentation to receive reimbursement. The Terra State team also offers personalized assistance and step-by-step support to help employers complete their applications successfully. This session is perfectly timed. The next TechCred application round opens September 2 and closes September 30, 2025. Attending this Lunch & Learn will ensure you are prepared to take full advantage of this funding opportunity. Lunch is free for Seneca Regional Chamber & Development members. The cost for non-members is $17.50. If you are looking to invest in your team, retain talent, and access meaningful state support, this is a great opportunity to get started. To learn more about Ohio TechCred, visit techcred.ohio.gov.
