Details:
Join us for an exciting day of outdoor exploration with two fantastic events: "Conservation Teens: Kayaking the Gasconade River" and "Conservation Kids: Aquatic Adventure Day Camp."
For teens, experience the beauty of the Gasconade River on a guided kayaking trip that covers seven miles from Rollins Ferry to Pointers Creek Access. Participants will enjoy round-trip transportation from Runge Nature Center, along with kayaks, paddles, and flotation devices. Simply pack a lunch, bring a water bottle, and wear water-friendly closed-toed shoes. Parents or caregivers must complete a permission form, available at Runge or via email prior to the event.
For younger adventurers, the "Aquatic Adventure Day Camp" invites children to dive into Missouri's aquatic habitats for a day of summer fun! This free one-day camp offers snacks, safety, and all necessary equipment. A welcome email with details and a packing list will be sent before the event. Each child may register for only one camp day per year.
Whether kayaking or exploring aquatic environments, these programs promise unforgettable outdoor experiences!
