Homeschool Day is open to any size homeschool group, from individual families to large homeschool cooperatives . Homeschool Day is offered one day per month and allows guests to experience life on the frontier at their own pace between the hours of 9:30am - 11:30am. Travel back in time with a visit to the untamed western frontier at Mansker's Station Homeschool Day. This tour will make history come to life for homeschool groups of all ages with live history demonstrations and hands-on activities. In this tour, activities may include trading, woodworking, blacksmithing, an 18th-century schoolhouse lesson, gardening, laundry or games. Activities and demonstrations available may vary depending on the weather or time of year.
Admission includes access to the American Indian Exhibit, a short video, history demonstrations, hands-on activities at Mansker's Station, and shared picnic space at Shelter #3 near the large playground. Homeschool Day is not exclusive to one homeschool group but is open to multiple homeschool groups. Reservations in advance are required. Homeschool Day is not a drop off event. All students thru age 17 must have a chaperone who is also registered in advance.
