Make, take, and bake… your own bread! - Fully hands-on class

Chef Cherise will guide students as they make their own yeast dough. Through this process, they will learn the steps of yeast bread production. Each person will end up with the knowledge of how to make a great loaf of bread. They will also have a bowl of dough, in the fermentation stage, which will be ready for them to take home, shape, and bake in their home kitchen. Each person registered needs to bring a mixing bowl, a mixing spoon, and a liquid measuringcup. Bio: Chef Cherise Slattery believes great cooking comes from simple, fresh ingredients combined with correct technique. Chef Cherise also believes that a great meal comes from what food brings to the table – companionship. Growing up in a family where the table was the heart of the home, she loved spending her days in the kitchen with her mother and grandmother, discovering their vast collection of family recipes.
