Drop-In Writing Group: Nonfiction and Memoir Meets 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month, 9:30am-11:00am in the Readings Gallery on the lowest level of the bookstore.****NOTE: During construction in Paper Dreams (Spring 2026) this group will meet in the Writers Corner on the top floor of Village Books. Thank you!****What is your story? What matters to you most? The Nonfiction and Memoir group invites nonfiction writers to join this welcoming interactive writing community. Work on your memoir, personal essay, op-ed, manifesto, flash, reflection, or any other nonfiction on any topic. Share selections of your work and get immediate feedback. Meet and network with like-minded writers. Our group has a wide range of experience, from newbies to published authors. Everyone is welcome. Facilitated by local writer Ted Leonhardt. Village Books hosts many writing groups (including this one!) , usually in the Writers' Corner on the mezzanine level of the store or in the Readings Gallery on the lowest level. Come meet other writers who can help you get organized, give feedback, and help you with your writing goals. These groups are free and open to newcomers and drop-ins. Feel free to just show up!
