The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host The Middle Clear Fork Soil and Water Conservation District annual Ranch and Conservation Tour on June 5 in Merkel. Two Texas Department of Agriculture general continuing education units will be available. Topics include: SWCD Welcome and tour outline — Bob Grimes, board chairman, Middle Clear Fork SWCD. Ranch introduction and conservation work — Luke Taylor, manager and co-owner, Lazy T Ranch. Brush control, grass planting and field maintenance — Jame Jackson, Alligare Chemical Company. Aerial spray applications and drone demo — Austin Williams, Catahoula Custom Spraying LLC. Conservation equipment — Justin Holloway, United Ag and Turf. Taylor County local work group discussion — Grimes.
