Museum of Tolerance

The Museum of Tolerance (MOT) is a multimedia museum in Los Angeles, California, established in 1993 as the educational arm of the Simon Wiesenthal Center. It examines racism and prejudice globally, with a strong focus on the Holocaust, and also addresses atrocities in Cambodia and Latin America, as well as issues like bullying and hate crimes. The museum aims to transform history into action through immersive exhibits, values-based education, and dialogue to equip individuals to confront antisemitism, challenge prejudice, and engage in social justice. It utilizes interactive media and animated exhibits to inspire empathy, civic engagement, and acts of kindness, encouraging visitors to be 'upstanders' against injustice.
