Frank Lloyd Wright's Allen House is a historic house museum and study center in Wichita, Kansas, designed by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright. Commissioned in 1916 and completed in 1918, it is one of Wright's last Prairie Style homes. The Allen House Foundation was established to restore and conserve the house, its gardens, and interiors, showcasing Wright's Prairie Style designs and his collaboration with interior architect George M. Niedecken. The foundation aims to create a house museum and study center, establish a library archive for the study of Frank Lloyd Wright and related design areas, and serve as a cultural focal point. The house is known for its organic architecture, emphasizing horizontal lines, natural materials, and a seamless integration of interior and exterior spaces. It features Wright-designed furniture, original art glass, and innovative elements for its time. The house is open to the public by appointment for guided tours.
