Whimsy, Wonder & Color: The Art of Ginny Young

A love for color, beauty, and storytelling inspires the artwork of Kansas artist Ginny Young. Born and raised in Manhattan, Kansas, Ginny inherited her love of art from her father, an artist and printer who sparked her creativity at an early age.
After earning Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Kansas State University, Ginny pursued her passion for art through classes, workshops, and years of dedicated practice while raising a family and working in other creative fields. Her artistic journey also led her to Denver, Colorado, where she earned a degree in Kitchen and Bath Design from The Art Institute of Colorado.
Today, Ginny creates paintings, collages, and mixed-media works inspired by everyday beauty, imagination, nature, whimsy, and the stories that connect us. Her work ranges from colorful florals and expressive landscapes to playful, imaginative pieces that invite viewers to smile, wonder, and remember the joy found in ordinary moments.
Ginny’s artwork has been exhibited throughout Kansas and Colorado and is held in private and corporate collections across the United States. She continues to explore new ideas, mediums, and creative adventures from her home studio in Manhattan, Kansas.
