**Professional Development Training Overview**
This training session encompasses two critical areas of child development: Supporting Children During Free Play and Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect.
1. **Supporting Children During Free Play**
**Instructor:** Tracie Landsford
**Nevada Registry Approved:** 2.0 Hours
**CKA:** Environment & Curriculum
Participants will explore the teacher's role in nurturing children’s development during free play, learning intentional strategies for engagement and techniques for individualized teaching, promoting peer interaction, and providing emotional warmth. The training includes a knowledge check with a three-question quiz at the end.
2. **Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect**
**Instructor:** Janna Mason
**Nevada Registry Approved:** 2.0 Hours
**CKA:** Health & Safety
This course equips participants with the skills to identify signs of abuse and neglect, respond appropriately to children disclosing such situations, and understand the reporting process and child protection procedures. A knowledge check with a three-question quiz will also be administered at the end.
Both sessions emphasize comprehensive learning experiences and are designed to enhance participants’ skills in supporting children's well-being and safety.
