Details:
Join us for an enriching online professional development series focused on child development and family connections, starting with the session **Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect**. Led by instructor Janna Mason, this 2.0-hour Nevada Registry Approved training will cover the signs and symptoms of abuse, effective responses to a child's disclosures, and the reporting process. Participants will learn to identify maltreatment signs and gain familiarity with the child protection system, concluding with a knowledge check to reinforce learning objectives.
Additionally, the series includes **Supporting Children During Free Play** (2.0 Hours) with Tracie Landsford, which focuses on enhancing play experiences and fostering peer interactions, and **How to Make Meaningful Family Connections Using Media and Tech** (1.0 Hour) by Ivett Nunez, which teaches caregivers strategies for engaging with children aged 0 to 8 through media co-use. Each session features interactive opportunities and a quiz to assess understanding. Confirmation emails with Zoom links will be sent to participants; for any inquiries, please contact the Professional Development Training Coordinator at 775-856-6200. For personal record requests, reach out to the Professional Development Team.
