Details:
Join us for an engaging in-person session at the Nevada Strong Start Child Care Services Center, featuring two professional development classes: "Active Parenting 501: Redirecting Your Child's Misbehavior" and "Fix the Fuse, Not the Fire: Understanding How to De-Escalate Behaviors."
In "Active Parenting 501," led by instructor Thelma Aviles, participants will explore the motivations behind children's behaviors and learn effective techniques for redirecting misbehavior, specifically designed for parents of children aged 6 and above. This 2-hour class aims to help parents guide their children toward better choices.
Simultaneously, "Fix the Fuse, Not the Fire," taught by Janna Mason, focuses on understanding the triggers behind behaviors in early childhood education. Participants will engage in interactive activities to learn proactive and responsive de-escalation strategies, promoting calmer classrooms and enhanced relationships with children.
Both sessions are approved by the Nevada Registry and are structured to include knowledge checks to ensure effective learning. For more information regarding class details and security policies, please contact the Professional Development Team at The Children’s Cabinet.
