Details:
Help us celebrate our countrys 250th birthday by joining us for a special red, white, and blue day! 10:30 am - 12:00 pm - Tie-dye a bandana for your Fourth of July picnic. All materials are provided. One tie-dye project per child while supplies last. We will only be tie-dying bandanas today. 11 am- 1 pm - Enjoy a free snow cone in the community room. 10:30 am - 1 pm: Design and decorate a paper tri-corn hat in the childrens activity room. Then wear your party hat to take a picture with the 1823 William J. Stone engraving of the Declaration of Independence on display in the Library lobby, thanks to the Foundation for Art and Preservation in Embassies (FAPE) and Crayola Learning. The exhibition is part of FAPE and Crayolas Creative Freedom initiative, celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States and the signing of this historic document. The FAPE replica, a generous gift from David M. Rubenstein, was installed by Crozier Fine Arts this winter and will be on public display at the library through July 7, 2026. ---
