Details:
Join us for a captivating dual art exhibit at Lauritzen Gardens from May 21 through June 28, 2026, featuring "My Mother's Garden" by Katrina Swanson and "The World As I See It" by Patrick Grewe.
Katrina Swanson, a visual artist based in Omaha, draws inspiration from her childhood memories of her grandmother's flower garden. Her paintings celebrate the beauty of flowers, capturing light, color, and texture through her vibrant oil works. Katrina showcases her art locally and across various galleries, illustrating her deep connection to nature.
In contrast, Patrick Grewe, a nature and wildlife photographer from Lincoln, invites us to see the world through his eyes. His exhibit showcases intimate, detailed photographs of nature—most taken locally in Omaha and Lincoln, including stunning images from Lauritzen Gardens. Growing up on a Nebraska farm and learning photography from his father, Patrick now shares the natural beauty he encounters after transitioning from a career in law to photography.
Lauritzen Gardens proudly supports these talented local artists, emphasizing the deep-rooted connection between art, nature, and community through their stunning exhibits. Discover their works and experience the beauty of the natural world from two unique perspectives. For more information about Katrina Swanson, visit katrinamethotswanson.com/.
