Join us at the Morris County Library for an exciting summer that includes the American Revolution Lecture Series and the Summer Reading Club! In celebration of the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, lecturer Joel Farkas will present a series of three standalone talks on Tuesdays from 7-8 PM:
- June 9: Washington & Morristown
- June 16: The Declaration of Independence
- June 23: Remembering the Revolution
No registration is required for these lectures, but seating is first-come, first-served.
Meanwhile, children aged 12 and under can register for the Unearth a Story Summer Reading Club starting June 15, reporting their reading from June 29 to August 8 to earn raffle tickets for a chance to win a Barnes & Noble gift card. All registrants will receive goody bags, with winners announced on August 10.
Adults aged 18 and older can participate in Adult Summer Reading Bingo from June 1 to August 31, aiming for bingo by reading and marking off their cards. Completed cards should be returned by August 31 for a chance to win one of three $50 Barnes & Noble gift cards, with winners announced after Labor Day.
Additionally, teens aged 13-18 can pick up a Grab and Go Craft kit to celebrate Father's Day while supplies last. Don’t miss the exhibit "Declaration 1776: The Big Bang of Modern Democracy," on view from December 2025 to December 2026. Get ready for a summer filled with reading, creativity, and fun activities!
