Jamael Dean is a composer, pianist, producer, and multidisciplinary artist whose music bridges jazz, hip-hop, ancestral traditions, and experimental forms. His recording credits include Kamasi Washington’s Heaven and Earth, projects with Carlos Niño, Laraaji, Zeroh, Josef Leimberg, Charlie BeReal, the Pan Afrikan Peoples Arkestra, Keturah, and Shin Sasakubo. As a bandleader and solo artist, he has released acclaimed works such as Black Space Tapes, Ished Tree, Oblivion, Primordial Waters, Convergence, and Oriki Duuru, while also co-composing the 2024 film Waterboyz. @jamael_dean
