A Journey Through Pastels

Join us for an enriching artistic experience with two simultaneous exhibitions: "A Journey Through Pastels" and "Art 'Round Town," both running from July 21 to August 29, 2026, at the Tevis Gallery. "A Journey Through Pastels" showcases the expressive beauty and versatility of soft pastel through a juried selection of works by members of the Maryland Pastel Society. With a diverse range of subjects—from tranquil landscapes to vibrant contemporary pieces—this exhibition celebrates the unique ability of pastels to convey both immediacy and depth.

Complementing this is "Art 'Round Town," an eclectic exhibition that features original works by local and regional artists across various mediums, including fine art, sculpture, metalwork, and fiber arts. This exhibit emphasizes the rich creative talent found within the Carroll County community and invites visitors to view familiar themes and materials through the unique perspectives of local artists.

Both exhibitions are free to the public and open during the following hours: Tuesday & Thursday from 12pm-7pm, Wednesday & Friday from 12pm-4pm, and Saturday from 10am-4pm. (Closed on Sunday & Monday). Enjoy additional extended hours during films and events as you immerse yourself in the vibrant world of art.
