Stan and Freddie

Stan & Freddie met at the La Dolce Vita open mics and can often be found there as regulars on first and third Saturday nights. They have Partnered up on several occasions at some unique venues, most recently at the Vetstock 3 day Veteran’s Bonfire event. They have also played La Dolce Vita, Papa's Public House, Mountain-view Church and outdoor concerts. Stan accompanies Freddy on Bass.
Stan Huston, alias ‘Stanley Steemer’s often silly CountryBilly Croon’in of his own homegrown yarns and others by his long-time great old buddy, Pete Wirts’ comical originals might just make you laugh, giggle and Howl like a Dog!
His more serious work is inspirational in nature with Christian themes like “Pilgrim Wayfarer”, a take on the popular Johnny Cash “Wayfaring Stranger” and many other covers by some of his favorites from the 80’s like Bob Dylan, Tim Koller and Phil Keaggy.
Not enough can be said about Freddy Alexander!
Born in Grenada, at an early age, he found a love for music and wood carving! His big brother had a guitar but warned his younger siblings not to touch it when he was gone to work. Of course, they ignored him!
So Freddie decided to make his own guitar out of a large gourd, with a plywood top and nylon fishing-line strings. That launched him into a career in music! In the States for Forty Four years, with his deep rich Baritone voice and a wide repertoire from Glen Campbell to Santana and Willie Nelson, he pleases crowds wherever he goes! His Guitar playing, Harmonica and Vocals are impeccable and what a pleasure to hear!
