Whether youre a complete beginner or looking to refine basic skills, this class offers a welcoming environment to explore the fundamentals of working with clay on the wheel. Youll learn the essential techniques of centering, pulling, shaping, and trimming clay to create functional forms like bowls and cups. As the course progresses, youll be introduced to glazing methods and the firing process, transforming your pieces into finished, food-safe ceramics. By the end of the session, youll have several unique, handmade pieces to take home and enjoy. All clay, glaze, firings and tools are included. For the first class, bring an apron or work clothes, sketchbook, writing implement and your curiosity!
