Spend An Evening Exploring Tequila and Glassblowing!

This evening we’ll celebrate tequila- a liquor that is complex, peppery, smooth, and vegetal all at once. Once guests arrive and settle into the Michigan Room, local cocktail historian Beth Vandergrift will guide participants through the making of a signature cocktail created just for this event.
Then, drink in hand, the group will move to the Hot Shop to attend a live glass-blowing demonstration during which the artists will create one of the glasses used during the class.
For the final part of the evening, we’ll return to the Michigan Room to craft the classic Paloma. Throughout the evening Beth will lead a discussion on the history of tequila and related topics. Guests will end the evening with a renewed appreciation of Mexico’s native spirit, the recipes used during the class, and a memorable Hot Shop experience.
