Details:
Join your space-loving friends for a discussion all about the Artemis II Mission to the moon! The last spacecraft to land humans on the moon was the Apollo 17 mission in 1972. After a 50 year hiatus, NASA is now planning a return to the moon in a series of upcoming missions. This program will discuss the overall goals of the Artemis program, the separate missions involved, and even tell you how to have your name go on a trip around the moon. We all watched as four humans traveled further from Earth than ever before on the Artemis II mission to test out the systems for the next mission, Artemis III, when we land on the moon. We want to hear your thoughts about the mission! Bring your wonder for the universe and mans exploration of space. Registration is required, space is limited! This program is for kids in grades 3rd-8th only, but parents/caregivers are welcome to remain in the room for the duration of the program. Donald Miller is a NASA Solar System Ambassador, life-long amateur astronomer, and astronomy/astrophysics enthusiast. He is a member of the Chester County Astronomical Society and is frequently found at night in his backyard using his telescope. If you have any questions, please email Miss Rebecca at rviola@ccls.org
