Details:
Join us for an engaging and enriching series of events aimed at teens aged 12-18! Start with the SDP 2026 Teen - Kinetic Sculptures workshop, where participants will explore the history and engineering of kinetic sculptures and create their own moving paper art (ages 13-17). Celebrate Juneteenth at the library with dynamic activities, including making wearable art buttons in honor of those affected by Juneteenth and designing unique Black Beaches Bags that celebrate significant places for African American families. Younger siblings aged 5-12 can join in creative freedom-themed crafts with a parent or caregiver. Additionally, the "Adult 101: The Smart and Socially Adept Teen" session will help teens build confidence in social situations. Lastly, the Mindfulness and Coping Skills Group offers support for managing emotions and enhancing coping strategies. Come celebrate, create, and connect with peers and family!
