hay bales in a field with a tractor nearby The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host a ranch equipment maintenance workshop which will include sessions on New World screwworm, June 16 in Sonora. The cost of the workshop at the door is $30 per person or $50 per couple, which covers program materials, refreshments and lunch. Due to the recent confirmed New World screwworm cases in Texas, sessions have been added to the workshop. Livestock products to discuss with veterinarians for treatment/prevention of New World screwworm. After a positive case. Other sessions include: Trailer maintenance and (wire) troubleshooting. Skid steer maintenance tips. Sprayer calibration and cleaning. Herbicide selection. Three Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units — two general and one integrated pest management — will be offered.
