The Weslaco Museum's mission is to collect, preserve, exhibit, and promote the history, cultural arts, and past traditions of Weslaco, Texas, and its surrounding region. The museum features displays on geology, fossils, Native American culture, Spanish colonization, Early Texas history, the development of the Valley, agriculture, local economy, and a veterans section. It also includes a small art gallery that showcases monthly exhibits by local and regional artists. The museum offers field trips for school districts and tours for senior groups, as well as outreach programs. They also host cultural events, community outreach programs, art exhibits, music programs, craft demonstrations, workshops, book signings, and festivals.
