6 PM – Film Screenings and Panel Discussion
Experience Let’s Work: A Labor of Love, a visual art exhibition presented by The People’s Museum for Prince—a global community of art created by Prince fans. Afterward, grab a seat for Forever in My Life grassroots short film program, featuring the short Dearly Beloved (fresh off its acclaimed Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival run) alongside a slate of micro-documentaries and personal essays.
Part 2: The Concert
8 PM – Live Music from Barlow
The Capri stage will light up as Barlow delivers a masterful set honoring Prince’s peak artistry. Experience the gorgeous falsetto of this Minneapolis multi-hyphenate as he performs a seamless blend of soul, funk, R&B, and gospel on the exact stage where Prince played his very first solo concert in 1979.
Performing simply as Barlow, this dynamic singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist brings a lifelong career on the stage and a deep knowledge of funk and soul music to the event. With a talent and artistic perspective born of Minneapolis’ rich Black culture, he makes art for people with no fancy filter, executing his vision with deep intention and credibility. Barlow will be accompanied by bassist Trevor Peterson, pianist Eric Mayson, and drummer Toby Ramaswamy.
Cost: Free, but space is strictly limited. Click TICKETS to reserve your spot!
Free parking in the Capri lot.
