Details:
The Elephant Sanctuary will be hosting a story time for our summer readers in their Discovery Center! After the story time, enjoy getting to explore the exciting things available at the Discovery Center.
Extra parking is available in The Lot at 36 N Maple. To reach the Discovery Center, walk by the Retired Elephant, through the breezeway. Turn right when you reach Main St, and enter through the front door. Thank you Elephant Sanctuary of Tennessee for hosting us!
Each educational session lasts approximately 30 minutes and is designed to teach pre-literacy skills while promoting the love of books and reading. Our summer programs will highlight paleontology and history with the theme of “Unearth a Story: Unearthing Hohenwald.” Story time programs are designed for children ages 5 and under, but older children are welcome to attend. Registration for summer reading is not required for program attendance, but is a way to enhance summer fun! Time spent in story time programs DOES count as reading time for participants in the READSquared portion of summer reading. Register for READSquared at lewislibrary.readsquared.com/
