Family Plant Walk

Explore the Detroit Riverfront and Milliken State Park with local herbalists!
Join us at Cullen Plaza for a short and easy herbal walk along the scenic Detroit Riverfront, where attendees of all ages will learn from local herbalists how to identify and engage with plants. Guided Plant Walk & Scavenger Hunt ending in Dandelion Stew & Activity Time. 15-20 min walk through Milliken State Park, highlighting ~5 notable plants in a kid-friendly way. We will end in the fountain area to give samples of Dandelion Stew while attendees choose a small group/individual activity (printed handouts) or enjoy a guest speaker activity. ​
All ages are welcome. Registration is encouraged but not required.
