Emerging FCS Teacher Summer Institute 2026
Tuesday, July 21, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. AND Wednesday, July 22, 2026, 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

A two-day summer institute featuring dynamic, hands-on professional development sessions in Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS). 30-minute breakout sessions on topics including: Active Learning Strategies, Culinary Arts, Early Childhood Education, Personal Financial Literacy, FCCLA, RealityWorks Simulators and Curriculum Kits, Standards and Career Pathways. Additional opportunities to practice and learn about lab management in the textiles and culinary arts space will also be available.

Who Should Attend: Designed primarily for experience-based licensed teachers, new teachers, and postsecondary students entering the profession. Professionals seeking PD in FCS are also welcome.
