Details:
Celebrate the spirit of America’s founding with a special 3-part community series exploring the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Bill of Rights as we approach the anniversary of our nation’s independence. Join Tommy Mattingly and Nancy Turbak Berry for engaging conversations that connect the ideals of America’s beginnings to the freedoms and responsibilities we experience today.
Tommy will share the historical events and concerns that inspired early Americans to create the documents that became the foundation of the United States, while Nancy will explore how those principles continue to shape our lives more than 250 years later.
Whether you enjoy history, civics, or thoughtful discussion, this series offers an inviting opportunity to reflect on the enduring impact of these defining American documents.
The free series is open to adults and young adults and will be held Monday evenings on June 16, 23, and 30 at 7:15 p.m. at The Element, located at 1 North Broadway in downtown Watertown.
