Details:
The Arlington Historical Museum is excited to present two new temporary exhibits: "Arlington Changemakers 250" and "We the People." The "Arlington Changemakers 250" exhibit highlights the impactful contributions of local leaders, advocates, educators, innovators, and community builders who have shaped Arlington’s history and community as part of the Arlington 250 celebration. By showcasing their stories, the exhibit invites visitors to reflect on the power of individuals in influencing their communities and defining Arlington's past, present, and future. Concurrently, "We the People," a traveling exhibition from the Virginia Museum of History & Culture, opens on July 12. This exhibit explores the rich tapestry of immigrant experiences that have transformed Virginia from the colonial era to modern times, examining how immigration has shaped the state's culture, economy, and identity. Through a collection of stories, images, and historical artifacts, "We the People" highlights what it means to become a Virginian and an American. Together, these exhibits provide a comprehensive look at the diverse narratives that have shaped Arlington and Virginia.
