Details:
The Arlington Historical Museum is currently showcasing two impactful temporary exhibits that celebrate the region's rich history and diverse experiences. The first exhibit, "Arlington Changemakers 250," is part of the Arlington 250 initiative and highlights local leaders, advocates, educators, innovators, and community builders whose contributions have significantly shaped Arlington’s history and community. This exhibit aims to inspire visitors to reflect on the influence individuals can have on their communities. The second exhibit, "We the People," a traveling exhibition from the Virginia Museum of History & Culture, opened on July 12 and explores the experiences of immigrants who have shaped Virginia from the colonial era to the present day. Through various stories, images, and historical materials, it highlights the impact of immigration on the culture, economy, and identity of the Commonwealth. Together, these exhibits provide a comprehensive view of how individuals and communities have influenced Arlington and Virginia's past, present, and future.
