Details:
The Arlington Historical Museum is excited to present two new temporary exhibits: "We the People" and "Arlington Changemakers 250," showcasing pivotal aspects of Virginia's history and community impact. "We the People," a traveling exhibition from the Virginia Museum of History & Culture, opens on July 12 and explores the diverse experiences of immigrants from the colonial era to the present, highlighting their significant influence on Virginia’s culture, economy, and identity. Concurrently, "Arlington Changemakers 250" celebrates local leaders, advocates, and innovators who have shaped the Arlington community, inviting visitors to reflect on the roles individuals have played throughout history. This exhibit also commemorates the United States' Bicentennial in 1976, showcasing memorabilia that connects the past to everyday life. Together, these exhibits celebrate over 250 years of local history while inspiring a vision for an inclusive future. The museum is open Saturdays from 10 AM to 4 PM and Sundays from 1 PM to 4 PM, with free entry.
