The FirstEnergy Akron Marathon, Half Marathon, and Team Relay is the marquee event of the Akron Marathon Race Series and the ultimate celebration of endurance, teamwork, and community pride.
This unforgettable course offers a foot-tour through the heart of Akron, highlighting historic landmarks, vibrant neighborhoods, and scenic Summit Metro Parks. Runners and walkers begin and end in downtown Akron, passing iconic locations including the Akron Art Museum, The University of Akron, Firestone Park, the Towpath Trail, Sand Run Parkway, Stan Hywet Estate, and Highland Square before reaching the iconic Blue Line finish at Lock 3.
Looking for a challenge to share? Tag your friends and conquer 26 miles together on 9.26 in the Team Relay or take on the full marathon. The 2026 event also marks the 20th year of the Half Marathon, celebrating two decades of runners and walkers reaching the Blue Line.
