What is Commander?
Commander is an exciting, unique way to play Magic that is all about awesome legendary creatures, big plays, and battling your friends in epic multiplayer games! The Commander format is all about picking your hero and building a deck around them. In this casual, multiplayer format, you choose a legendary creature to serve as your commander and build the rest of your deck around their color identity.
Decks contain 100 unique cards with no duplicates including one Commander, generally a legendary creature or card with the ability that allows the card to be used as a Commander. Decks may contain only cards from the chosen Commander's color identity. Players start with 40 life rather than the usual 20.
