Gladwyne - Independence Play: Children's Games of the 18th Century

We’ll read the new book “Charles Thomson and the Declaration of Independence” to learn about historic Harriton House and our connection to the Declaration of Independence. We’ll play and learn with our collection of games and toys played by children in 1776 including rolling hoops, Graces, lawn bowling, and more. We will also make and take home a tic-tac-toe game and a length of rope that can be used for playing jump rope. Best for children ages 8 - 12. Instruction by Harriton House staff member.
