The Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center is a multifaceted arts and community center that provides programming in the visual arts, dance, music, theatre, and special interest areas.
Mission Statement
The Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center has the responsibility to provide the community with high quality facilities and programming to support life-long appreciation and participation in arts, cultural, recreation and other leisure activities.
In support of this mission statement, more than 1,300 programs are held each year in the arts and special interest areas. The ARCC also provides facilities for community use including meeting rooms, and the Aberdeen Civic Arena and Theatre.
All Aberdeen Recreation and Cultural Center activities are cosponsored by the South Dakota Arts Council through a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts and by funds from the State of South Dakota.
