Tammy Gegel Bio Tammy Gegel’s heartfelt books bring education and joy to children, while also celebrating the beauty of life and the importance of the natural world. After earning her degree in Elementary Education from The Ohio State University, Tammy became a first grade teacher and a proud mother of four children. Writing in memory of her youngest child, Austin, who graduated with a degree in Biology and a minor in Zoology from Eastern Michigan University, Tammy shares her son’s passion for animals and nature. Austin’s adventurous spirit and dedication to wildlife continue in her books, where he takes center stage as a zookeeper and conservationist, sharing his love of animals.
