Morley Library, founded in 1899, serves as the County District Library for Lake County, Ohio. Its mission is to provide diverse information and excellent service, connecting people with quality resources in a safe and welcoming environment, thereby enhancing the quality of life through lifelong learning, recreation, and collaboration. The library offers a wide range of services including access to collections, e-books, online resources, computer and Wi-Fi access, printing, copying, scanning, and faxing. They also provide specialized services such as a Grant Resource Center, Homebound Delivery, a Library of Things, and notary services. Morley Library is committed to community engagement, inclusion, and intellectual freedom, ensuring equitable access for all. They offer extensive youth services, including various storytimes, outreach to schools and daycares, and an Educator Card for teachers. Additionally, the library maintains a Genealogy & Local History collection with vital records, census enumerations, newspapers, and more, supporting research into family and local history. The Friends of Morley Library, a non-profit organization, supports the library's mission through fundraising and volunteer efforts, operating book sales and assisting with community programs.
