Family Discovery Saturdays
10 a.m.-1 p.m. each day
Enjoy fun, family-friendly activities on Saturdays at the Museum of the Coastal Bend. Activities are free admission and open to the public. Free supplies while they last!. Activities are open to all ages, but best enjoyed by children ages 8-14.
Join us for Family Discovery Saturdays this summer as we celebrate life and history in the Coastal Bend! We’ll kick off the summer with the opening of our Native Plant Garden exhibit making bee houses, herbal teas, and more. Saturdays in June and July will focus on history highlighting the Early Peoples of Texas and the European exploration and colonization of this region. Make pottery, learn about stone tools, sharpen your knot-tying skills, make a boat that floats and other activities. We’ll top off the summer with a day of ranching and cowboy fun in honor of National Cowboy Day!

July 4: The museum is CLOSED for the July 4 holiday
July 11: Ranch Life & Storytime with the Victoria Public Library
July 18: Spanish Living History
July 25: Cowboy Life--Celebrate National Day of the Cowboy!
The museum opens at 10 a.m. for viewing and exploration of the exhibits; interactive activities kick off at 11 a.m. and last until 1 p.m. or until supplies run out.
