The Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce, established in 1958, is dedicated to promoting the civic, economic, and social welfare of the Sebastian River Area, serving communities in North Indian River County and South Brevard. Representing over 500 businesses and non-profit organizations, the Chamber's mission is to foster a healthy business environment, encourage business development and tourism growth, and enhance the quality of life in the community. They achieve this through various initiatives, including nurturing new businesses, acquainting new residents with the area, and attracting visitors via a modern tourist information center, dynamic website, social media, and promotional materials. The Chamber also supports local events, offers networking opportunities for members, and provides resources such as demographic data and economic development plans. Their Visitor's Center welcomes thousands of tourists annually, offering information on recreation, eco-tourism, local resources, and events, all while striving to promote the unique charm of the Sebastian area. The Chamber is a volunteer-driven organization committed to economic development through business recruitment and support for existing businesses, aiming for a healthy economy with shared prosperity.
