Aqua Fitness

Indian River County Parks & Recreation offers Aqua Fit, a low-impact aquatic fitness class designed to support cardiovascular health, strength, flexibility, and endurance in a fun and supportive environment. This pool-based workout is set to music and led by a certified instructor, combining aerobic movement, resistance training, and core exercises to create a well-rounded fitness experience. With multiple intensity levels available, participants can choose the class option that best fits their fitness goals—whether they are just beginning their wellness journey or looking to increase the challenge. Floats and aquatic weights are provided for participants to use during class. Classes are offered at two locations, providing more opportunities for residents to stay active in the water. Monday through Friday Classes begin at 10:00 AM No registration required, just drop in! Program Cost $5 for a single class $35 for 8 classes $70 for 16 classes Discounted punch cards are available, making it easy for participants to attend multiple classes at a reduced rate. Class Intensity Levels Aqua Balance – An introductory class that focuses on gentle cardio and learning basic movement patterns in the water. Aqua Shallow – A waist- to chest-deep water workout that provides slightly more intensity while still being mindful of joint comfort. Aqua Chi – A mindful, controlled workout that emphasizes balance, flexibility, and intentional movement. Aqua Fit – A balanced workout that includes aerobic conditioning, strength training, and core exercises. Aqua Burn – A higher-intensity aquatic workout designed to challenge participants while still protecting joints from impact. Aqua Fit provides a great opportunity to stay active while enjoying the benefits of low-impact exercise in the water, making it an excellent option for a wide range of fitness levels.
