Parrot Head Paddle A Jimmy Buffett Tribute Concert Float Benefiting Hope Wanders Friday, July 24, 2026 Meet at 5:30 PM-Case Landing – Miamisburg, Ohio Grab your flip flops, throw on your brightest tropical shirt, and join us for the ultimate summer escape on the water! Hope Wanders and Taiters Kayak invite you to a one-of-a-kind sunset paddle down the Great Miami River leading straight into the Star City Concert Series featuring Parrots of the Caribbean — an incredible tribute to the music and laid-back spirit of the legendary Jimmy Buffett. This isn’t just a kayak trip… it’s a floating beach party. We’ll meet at Case Landing in Miamisburg at 5:30 PM, where participants will check in before shuttle transportation takes us to the West Carrollton launch. From there, we’ll enjoy a scenic guided float back downstream as the sun begins to set and island vibes take over. When we return to Miamisburg, the night is yours to enjoy however you’d like: Stay on the water and listen to the concert from your kayak. Bring lawn chairs and a cooler to enjoy the show from shore Walk across the Linden Bridge (with walkways) to the concert stage Relax, laugh, and soak in the summer energy with great people Whether you’re an experienced paddler or brand new to kayaking, this trip is designed to be fun, welcoming, and beginner-friendly for everyone. All Hope Wanders and Taiters Kayak paddle event registrations are non-refundable.
As a nonprofit-supported fundraising program, your registration directly helps support our mission and allows us to reserve guides, transportation, equipment, staffing, and event logistics in advance.
Weather & River Conditions
Safety is always our top priority. Paddle events may be delayed, modified, or canceled due to unsafe weather or river conditions including, but not limited to:
Severe weather
Lightning
Flooding or unsafe river flow
High winds
Other hazardous natural conditions
If an event must be canceled due to weather or river safety concerns, participants will receive a transferable event credit valid for another Hope Wanders or Taiters Kayak paddle event during the current season.
We will offer at least one alternate event date—and in most cases, several available event options—to ensure participants have opportunities to reschedule their experience.
Participant Transfers
If you are unable to attend your registered event, your registration may be transferred to another available paddle event during the season with advance notice, based on availability.
Organizer Cancellations
If an event is canceled by organizers for reasons unrelated to weather, river safety, or natural conditions, a refund may be issued.
Communication
Participants will be notified via email and/or social media regarding weather updates, event modifications, or cancellations. Final weather-related decisions are typically made the morning of the event when conditions can be most accurately assessed.

At Hope Wanders, our mission is to create safe, welcoming, and accessible outdoor experiences. To protect our community, respect our guides, and stay compliant with our insurance, pre-registration is strictly required for all trips.
Please note our official policies regarding river arrivals:
Registered Guests Only: Due to strict insurance and safety regulations, our trips are exclusively for participants who have registered online in advance. We cannot accommodate walk-ins or unregistered guests at the launch site.
No Registration = No Trip: Our guides and partners volunteer their time and only head to the river if we have active registrants. If zero registrations are received by 9am the day of, the trip is automatically canceled and no staff will be at the launch.
Liability & Transportation: We care deeply about your safety, but we are legally prohibited from allowing unregistered individuals to paddle with our guided group. Furthermore, our insurance does not cover transportation or shuttle services for unregistered guests.
Financial Assistance is ALWAYS Available: Hope Wanders is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, and these paid trips act as fundraisers that directly fund our Adventure Grant Program. However, we will never turn anyone away because they cannot afford it. If the registration fee is a financial barrier for you, please reach out to us privately before the registration deadline. We will happily set up an Adventure Grant spot for you—no questions asked!
