Nature’s Story: Where Ice Became Life
Beneath the moss lies a story shaped by ancient glaciers. Discover how ice transformed the land and left its mark on the landscape we see today.
South Bend Museum of Art and Northern Indiana Pastel Society are partnering with Shirley Heinze Land Trust for Nature in the Arts at Lydick Bog Nature Preserve on Saturday, August 1. Visitors may stop by any time between 10 am and 2 pm EDT.
This event is free, family-friendly, and includes a variety of art projects you’ll get to take home! Light refreshments will be provided.
Activities:
 Make a multimedia print with the South Bend Museum of Art (all ages).
Learn the basics of plein air with Northern Indiana Pastel Society (recommended for ages 13+).
Join guided glacial history hikes through the bog led by naturalists.
Enjoy interactive glacial models.
