The Pre-Separation briefing is a complete rundown of your transition and veteran benefits, including education assistance, using your post-9/11 GI Bill www.military.com/education/gi-bill/new-post-911-gi-bill-overview.html , employment help and medical benefits. You'll also be given information about financial planning, VA home loans, mental health support and creating a transition plan. This workshop is packed with information about available benefits and transition help. Like the initial counseling, TAP's pre-separation briefing is due no less than a year before you plan to officially leave the military.
